First earlies success.

I harvested 3lbs of lovely tasting pentland javelin spuds. Beautiful taste, very buttery. What variety have you grown this year? I have maris peer (2nd earlies) ready in a couple of weeks which I'm looking forward to.

    I've grown them in a large potato sack. Those potatoes were ones just on beneath the top 6 to 8 inches of soil. Probably still more to come.

    I bought this really cheap pack of seed potatoes from home bargains. They were very small (around a golf ball size). I think I planted about 6 seeds in this large sack
