Primula. Victorian gold laced

I've bought seeds of polyanthus ( primula Victorian gold laced ). Any tips please on how to bring them up to be healthy plants for the garden. I keep losing the ones I have in the garden. Thanks

    They are very lovely; grow as for primroses.  I found they never never lasted more than a couple of years.
    Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
