Pelargonium leaves turning brown

Bought this little beauty at GW Live last week. It seems to be establishing well but leaves have started to brown at the edges. Could it be getting too much direct sun? Thanks

My guess would be too much watering

    Is that Westdale Appleblossom?
Unfortunately, the leaves of variegated pelargoniums (especially the ones with white variegation) tend to dry and crisp around the edges if they get too much direct sun. So that might be the cause.
From my experience they do require slightly more water that the non-variegated ones, but do let the compost dry out a bit between waterings.
Another thing to look out for are completely white branches and leaves. These need to be removed as they don’t produce chlorophyll and they will dry anyway.

  • Hi @pitter-patter, yes it is, and thanks for reminding me. I knew it was something to do with apples but lost the label practically straight away! Thanks for the advice as well 😊
