What’s up with my Acer?

We’ve had this Acer for many years in he garden and when it’s in full bloom is usually a very very vibrant green.

we noticed it’s started to go orange, just wondered if there was anything wrong with it - we love the tree, had it from very small, hopefully all is normal.

It looks fine..just autumn starting rather early.
It is stressed as it is in full sun.
Make sure in this heat you give it masses of water every day...4 gals

  • Thank you, it will be a shame if it drops its leaves this early, but so long as it’s ok that’ll do me!!

    I cannot see..is it in a pot?
    How big is the pot?
Would be happier to be in the garden...it already rather large.

  • Hi, no it’s not in a pot, it’s been planted for years. It’s thrived in this location the last few, I wonder if it’s just been particularly hot recently.

    Thanks.
Very glad it is in the ground.
Yes it has been very hot...very little rain.
Acer has grown, is larger...has more leaves to support..it is struggling with heat..hence my advice re a lot of water...regularly
