Does milk parsley reshoot?

FireFire Posts: 19,096
Lots of questions today:

I have cut back my milk parsley (Selinum wallichianum)  as it has gone over. Any chance of new blooms?

Thanks

For the record, I cut the Selinum wallichianum in June, and, hurrah, it's re-budding.  I'm thrilled. I'm trying the same with thalictrum.

Mine are sited in a place that's too dry for them - filipendula too. In marshy conditions they would be happier.

Tha buds withered while I was two weeks away in scorching weather. Well, a week after trimming back the dry buds and leaves, it does seem that new leaf and blooms are coming through - which is wonderful. I always feel like a bad parent when plants suffer from neglect or oversight.

I've given a few plants in the ground a load of bath water and they seem to be picking up. Dahlias in pots are delighted to be watered every day, even though they probably don't need so much; they have suddenly put on a load of buds. They seem to be plants that don't like to have their soil go dry before watering again. Some don't mind, but roses and dahlias like the attention.

I'm also dead heading the thals to see if I can extend their season, as I like them so much.
