Honeysuckle leaves

My spring planted honeysuckle was growing nicely, but now has quite a few yellow, mottled leaves. Anything to be  worried about?  It's on a north facing fence, but was chosen as a shade tolerant variety.

Possibly a reaction to dry roots causing a bit of powdery mildew.

Honeysuckle like deep damp soil … is it in the ground or a container?

@Dovefromabove, it's  in the ground  nice and deep. Have been keeping it well watered too. Just had a closer look and not powdery mildew, nothing to rub off the leaves. They're just floppy and marked.  Maybe another good soaking required. 😊

I've been watering mine quite a bit, but it needs more! It's a bit like yours.

Hmm, yes @RoddersUK.  I'll need to keep a closer eye on it. 🧐

If it's any help, I planted one in a mostly shady spot last year, and it looked a bit sorry for itself throughout the summer, similar to yours.  Now in its 2nd year it's looking fine and growing vigorously.  Might be just settling in and getting its roots established.

Mine only went in at spring time too, so should settle in this year and go mad next year.

    Let's hope so @RoddersUK and @borgadr.  😊
