Accidentally dug up bulbs

I’ve no idea what they are.

Should I put then a planter and see what comes next year or leave them wrapped in newspaper until autumn?

    I don’t really want to as the bed is having a fairly major renovation and I’m not sure what’s going where yet or how much weed trouble I’m going to have.

    If they can't go back in the same bed, I'd put them in the planter and see what comes up next year.
