Aster has green flowers

I have two Aster Novae-angliae "Herbstschnee" - planted in different spots in the garden. h I put them in last year and both did well in their first year with plenty of white flowers in late summer and autumn
This year one of the plants is flowering already (Mid June) which seems very early. A couple of the flowers are white but most of them are green with just a very pale yellow centre. What can be causing this and is there anything I can do? This particular plant gets quite a lot of sun but in other respects it looks pretty strong and healthy.
I'm a very inexperienced gardener so any advice would be great
