What trees to use/plant

Hi everyone
I was just wondering if there was someone that could give me some advice on what trees to buy or maybe have other ideas? I would like more privacy in my backgarden but have absolutely no idea what to look for or pick. I did buy some 2 years ago and i dont even no what they are called but they havent grown up as much as i would like. Any bit of advice would b much appreciated 👍🏽

Box - you can cut it into a hedge, or any amount of artistic or amusing shapes.
Hypericum, it gets massive if you let it, but doesn't mind a hard pruning. Beautiful flowers.
Poplars - tall, graceful, gorgeous sound even in a breeze...
Ornamental cherry, blossom etc.
Leylandii - I'm joking of course!
