Is this a weed? What is it?

Hi,
I noticed this plant yesterday. Is it a weed? I know its not bindweed (I get a lot of bindweed in my garden). It certainly climbs like a bind weed, but the stalk is woody.
Thanks

Think that's Woody Nightshade ... Solanum dulcamara

    Thanks guys.

Yes, looking at Google Images I think its Woody Nightshade.

    The
Woody Nightshade flowers looks quite nice. But should I pull it out? (I have enough to deal with bindweed and ground elder!) Or does it not do much harm/not too veracious?

I think a lot depends on your style of gardening ... if you garden for wildlife and have areas of 'wilderness' it's fine ... but it won't suit a more orderly type of garden. Birds eat the berries, but they excrete the seeds and if they do that in your garden you'll get more next year ... that'll be how the first one arrived ...
