Robinia Friscia HELP!

This year, my robinia friscia (planted as a whip 3 years ago) isn’t looking too well. Branches are dropping, leaves are discoloured and wilted, some just drop off when touched. 🙁

Is anyone experiencing or has anyone experienced similar issues? Any advise will much appreciated! 🙂

Thanks
gf

there have been many cases of robinia frisia pseudoacacia (the golden leaved form of robinia frisia) dying back and eventually failing in recent years.   I lost a 10 year old one in my last garden but have a healthy green one in this garden.

    Have a read of this - https://www.rhs.org.uk/disease/robinia-pseudoacacia-frisia

Such a shame, is there anything we can do to prevent this? Doesn’t seem to be any solutions on the RHS article 🙁

I think you just have to bite the bullet and take out the tree as it will not recover.  If you want a golden leaved tree have a look at gleditsia which has no known problems so far and won't get too big or else a golden form of sambucus which you can grow as a large shrub/small tree if your raise the crown as it matures.
