Norway Spruce not growing much

My Norway Spruce was bought in early January and kept in a pot to begin with. I planted in the ground in April. After feeding it with biostimulant and evergreen feed in May, it has sprouted a lot of new growth.

As this the leader (and some other branches) were cut by the garden centre for a better shape tree,  will this permanently stunt the growth or will it grow normally?

Also do I need to do anything with the new leaders that have emerged or will the dominant one naturally grow the most prominent?
