what is wrong with my rose?

i recently planted a potted precious amber rose and today i noticed the bottom leaves are turning yellow with some brown/black patches. the rest of the plant looks very healthy, the buds are flowering nicely and the leaves further up the plant are perfectly green and shiny. i am hoping it is the result of a deficiency rather than a disease but can’t quite figure out which. could i possibly be overwatering?
any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, i’m new to gardening so apologies if i come across as a bit clueless!

Lower leaves are the oldest and get less sun now they are shaded by leaves above.
Your rose has no need for these older leaves any more, so it drops them - all perfectly natural.
You rose may have a touch of black spot - most of mine do too.
There are treatments that may or may not help, but it's usually a minor problem.
    I leave mine alone.

Most important not to let your rose dry out during the summer.
It'll need regular watering for the rest of the season until it gets its roots down into the soil.
At least 2 gallons a week and more if it's very hot and dry.
Once it has settled in they are very tough plants.
    Best of luck!

    Welcome to the forum!

Overall I think your rose looks good

If the leaves are heavily affected and bother you, you can cut them off — also always pick up any leaves on the ground so they don’t become a further source of blackspot

Watering is important as @Pete.8 mentioned — it won’t eliminate blackspot but will keep the plant healthy enough to shrug it off
