Can anyone recognise purple-flowered plant?

Hello all,

Can anyone recognise this purple-flowered plant I came across growing between a wall and a plastic water pipe (I think it is coming towards the end of its time flowering).  Thank-you for any help anyone is able to provide.

    Welcome to the forum!

It’s a great little plant — mine (Campanula portenschlagiana ‘Campala’) flowers from May to December, photo taken just now

Unless you live in Brighton, where they consider it "a dangerous weed, liable to cause you to trip on the pavement"
