Poppy seeds heads

I have a couple of seed heads from some big red poppies, will they ripen if they're green?

Better to leave them until they are brown and dry, as they will be mature then, but if you have already removed them put in a paper bag until next spring and then brake them open for the seeds. You may have fewer germinate but I think some will, poppies are hardy plants 😁

I'll have to give them a chance, one pod is slightly rattly, so maybe some of those will take.
    Thank you. 😊
