My cyclamen didn't come back, I don't know why.
It wasn't one of those they sell for winter baskets was it?

@Slow-worm Cyclamen Hederifolium is the best one for the garden.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
  • Or Cyclamen coum, then you can have spring flowering as well as autumn flowering cyclamen. Just keep them separate because the hederifolium will eventually squeeze out the daintier coum type.

No, it was in too sunny a border so I moved it, and the next year it was great, then it just didn't come back.

    Maybe weevil.
I lost some a few years ago from this pest.

    Quote www.
"sulcatus and the Cyclamen Weevil O. rugosostriatus are the worst pests on cyclamen. The damage is done partly by the leaf-eating adult, brown to black in colour and some 6 mm long, and partly by the larvae which feed on the rootlets and main roots at the base of the cyclamen bulb."

I have previously bought 3 rather expensive flowering extremely deep pink Cyclamen coum...planted them in same area in exactly the same way and lost 2.
    These things sadly happen.
