Two new curious discoveries

Dear Members.

The first image  has cabbage like leaves, and just now yellowy green flowers have appeared!

The second plant has just flowered, they look like exploding yellow stars!

Any info would be appreciated.

    1.  Alchemilla Mollis aka Lady’s mantle. Love it. Very useful as a cut flower with sprays of pink roses.
Cut hard back when flowers fade if you want to prevent too much self seeding. You’ll get a second flush of foliage which looks gorgeous with raindrops on it.

    2.  One of the hypericums.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I like it [Alchemilla] too -but be aware that it seeds very readily, so can become a nuisance. Deadhead if you don't want too much of it  :)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
