What to do with bulbs

May be a silly question but I have some bulbs that I planted in tubs that have now done their job... when all the dead material has gone..can I replant them into the garden?.. thanks

Yes.   Most bulbs will be fine altho forced hyacinths may take a year to recover and flower again.   Fancy tulips may not do well either but species and botanic tulips should be fine.

In the garden your tulips want a free draining soil and some are poor flowers year two.
Also need planting deeply. Narcissus are happy in a more retentive soil.

I just dig them out and bung them in the garden and use the pots for something else.
