What is this

We thought it was a cordyline of some sort, but the flowers are not what we'd expect. They appear to be a crimson/red colour.

It was here when we bought the house last year.

The darker ones seem to have red flowers. I grow one with green and cream leaves flowers are yellow. Years ago it didn't always flower guess it is the milder winters. The wasps love the flowers.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
