Moving crocus bulbs

I need to move crocus bulbs I planted two years ago. I wasn't sure how well they'd take to the soil, it turns out very well and they're getting conjested. They also need moved for redesign reasons, they're not in the best place right now. I know you're meant to divide and move bulbs in the autumn, but if the leaves have all died back, can I move them now?

I also have muscari bulbs that need divided. The handful I planted have transformed into a massive clump and need thinned. They're now just at the seed head stage, most of their leaves have died too. Do I have to wait for the seed heads to die too to move them? I should say I'm happy with them self-seeding, they're beautiful and the bees love them.

Thanks for any input.

I move them when it suits me. You certainly don't have to wait until autumn :)
It's often easier when they have foliage, because they're easy to see, especially when re planted. Just let them die back naturally.
The muscari can be divided too. You can remove the seed heads if you want, but it won't really matter either way.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Brilliant, thanks @Fairygirl! They need moved somewhere where there's something to cover the dying leaves, right now it's rather prominent and looks awful!

I know what you mean - I'm still pulling out the dead foliage from the last of the crocus here, although I do the same and try to have them among other plants   :)
