Should it stay or go? Weed?

Hello everyone I’ve had this buttercup in the border this year and left it there although it seems to have gone back with vigour this year and I’ve left it for pollinators even though I have lots of other stuff in bloom for them. Is it worth keeping or would you hoe it out. Foliage is quite like a geranium and they seem strong little plants PS I’ve popped an extra photo of another that I think is def a weed? Sorry it’s gone into middle of photos Many thanks to all xx

The top two are buttercups and should go as they are invasive. The third pic looks like a herb Robert seedling, spreads quickly but easily pulled out. No idea what the last pic of the stems is.

I like buttercups but I try to keep them under control by only allowing one plant to grow and deadheading it as often as I can. I had a problem with them a few years ago and I had to do quite a lot of digging to get them under control.

In the fertile soil of my veg garden they make beautiful plants, quite tall and bushy with large glossy flowers.
En masse, as they are currently on my rockery, they look wonderful, blending with the orange and yellow welsh poppies and a large yellow and red broom.
In amongst other plants in a mixed border they are just a pain, as they send out runners in all directions. They are called creeping buttercups, but galloping would be more accurate!

Thank you so much everyone for your replies.  The last picture was just showing the stem and root of the buttercup plant as it is strong and healthy and wish some of my other plants grew so well! I will hoe them out more than I have been doing I think as they are coming to an end.

They'll take over very quickly, and are a bugger to get rid of, so keep them in check if you want them to stay, pull the runners.
