Manuka autumn pruning?

Hi all, we have this rather lovely flowering bush which we think is a Manuka.

It's rather top heavy - we're thinking of reducing the height, possibly in the Autumn. Has anyone done this with one of these or have any thoughts? Thanks muchly, Stephen
