I usually just do them at the bottom, but you can do some low down on the sides if you want. If there's good soil in the container, it'll hold moisture better anyway.

Thank you so much it’s all new to me it’s my first time growing strawberries. My other ones are doing great but they have the drainage in them already flowers are coming 🪴🍓. Thank you again
They're tough plants, so don't worry too much about them One thing to remember is that they need renewed every few years to keep them productive. You'll get runners on your plants later, and you can pot those up for new plants to take over in a year or two. The runners just look like long stems coming from the main plants, and they produce foliage and roots over a short period of time. You peg them down into surrounding soil, or in a little pot at the side, and once established, can be cut off from the parent. If you're unsure about any of that, just post again, and you'll get help with it
