melons

in Problem solving
I'm growing melons (given the plants and don't know what they are) in large containers in the GH. Should I limit the number of fruits? I've got about 6 flowers on each plant so far.

    Depends on size of container, amount of sun etc. I would limit them to maybe 3 fruits each.

    It will depend on the variety too - with the smaller fruiting types, you may well get away with allowing more than 3 per plant.
    As above, your location, size of container and the growing medium used will also come into the equation.
