That was not a weed, it was a native plant in its natural environment.  Get with the times please. :D

I’m glad I’m not alone in my oxalis misery.

I’m ok with weeds which I can pull out easily like fmn and willow herb and bittercress. Even dandelions and dock and nettle I see their purpose and I’ve gotten over my hate of geum. Oxalis is impossible.

I have oxalis everywhere. Lost battle trying to do anything with it. I just plant densely enough to hide it.

I don't mind oxalis. I hate bindweed and ground elder which come from next door's garden.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

How is cow parsley easy to pull out? It’s a massive tap root.

Not if you pull it out as a seedling it doesn't
  • I have plenty of Oxalis in my garden- all around the base of the stems in plants in containers. For the size of the plant it's very deep rooted and the slightest root left in the soil will regrow. The only way to eradicate this weed is to use a systemic herbicide. That said the liquid rolls off the leaves quickly so becomes ineffective. I use tissue paper to cover the foliage then spray with the herbicide to soak the paper and it always kills this weed.
