Hi . Can someone please tell me what this plant is. Probably a very common weed but struggling to find it in books. Thanks.

    Yes it is a common weed palmer_18, it's the invasive rosebay willow herb.

    I also need help with this! Caterpillars destroying this shrub. ??

    It looks a bit like flea beetle damage to me. The fact that there are no noticeable caterpillars may rule out those suspects - unless you have removed them all.

    viburnum beetle. Lots of info about it on line.
