I feel awful, I’ve just realised, not only did a give some to a friend I also gave a lot to the local charity plant sale. There could be people all over my village growing carrots in amongst their summer bedding and cursing the fact they aren’t flowering.
I apologise to anybody who bought them and reads this.
Just thought ... I should have suggested crushing and smelling the leaves ... carrot leaves always smell carrotty whereas chrysanthemum leaves smell like ... chrysanths.
