Strange leaf markings?

BettyWalesBettyWales Posts: 71
My lilies are growing well again this year but since the weekend I’ve noticed many of the leaves have strange marks on them? We had a lot of rain last week so not sure if this has anything to do with the marks or not, they don’t seem to cause any problems but they’re just a bit unsightly….anyone else come across them?
Thanks

Not something I've ever had on lilies. Someone else might know though. Not from rain, or else mine would always have them   :)

They look very healthy apart from that. Mine always get a lot of slug damage.

There is a form of botrytis that can affect asiatic lilies in damp weather … ive heard of it but not seen it but it may be that.

    I’ll have a Google …

edited to add:  I’ve found this, but it doesn’t look/sound the same to me … see what you think …

Thanks for thoughts….I don’t think it looks as severe as on the link (thankfully) but it’s very strange, poss coincidence, that it appeared so quickly after we’d had a long dry spell followed by nearly a week of rain ( that was my first thoughts).
The bulbs are well established and have flowered really well for many years but can’t say I’ve noticed this before…. maybe a one off mystery! 🤨
