Trachelospermum Jasminoid

I posted a few months ago about my Jasminoid which has been healthy for five years apart from this year where the leaves withered and died.

It now has no leaves but I have carried on watering it lots  and given it more compost, soil and cut a problem vine away which was close to it. The branches are still green when I scrath but there are still no leaves. When should I give up on it? It looks horrible but it used to be a beauty. Thanks all 😊

If it's been crowded by other planting, it'll take a  while to recover. It won't be instant.
When clematis, for example, are affected by wilt - they don't recover for many months -usually not till the following year.
It's very close to the fence, so it will be drier there unless it's in the face of the prevailing weather. Some extra organic matter- compost etc, will be be beneficial along with the watering. If it was mine, I'd take a lot of the top growth off to make it easier for the plant to support itself, but others may say no. They don't thrive here, so I'm not sure if that's beneficial. It would certainly be the process for clematis.

It depends how you feel about it. If you like it, then leave it until next spring, and see how it fares.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I love it normally so I will keep it until next year aslong as the branches remain green underneath. This is how it was last year.

I do give it a feed with nutrient compost. Should I water every day?  I have a south facing garden but that end of the garden doesn't get any sun as garden is quite small.

Thanks so much for your advice

I wouldn't be watering every day. A thorough soaking - ie a good bucket full, every few days is better, unless you get prolonged, heavy rain.
I wouldn't keep feeding it while it's trying to recover. Just a mulch to help retain the moisture.  :)
