Blackthorn fasciation

WillowBarkWillowBark Posts: 243
Found some fasciation on my blackthorn tree. I'm not sure if it's the twig itself that's fasciated or if it's a leaf bud that's gone haywire, but I thought it was interesting. Don't know if it was caused by the late frost that killed all the blossom, or by the mass of aphids that seem to have colonised it since, but something clearly went a bit wobbly!

Always @WillowBark fascinating to see fasciation! Think it can be caused by a number of things

Yes … not a problem … it would be interesting to see if they too are fasciated.
