Nutrient deficiency or virus?

Bought these courgette plants from the garden centre rather than growing from seed this year, as I was too busy to do much seed sowing in Spring. Over the past day or so they have developed yellow leaves, mottled in places. Do people think this is some kind of nutrient deficiency, or does it look like a virus? Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks.

  • Hmm..may just need a feed or repotting or both - liquid seaweed is a good option.
The other thing it may be is cucumber mosiac virus..hopefully not. The rest of the plant looks ok. If the leaf or leaves go brown it's CMV - no cure for that, sadly.

@Chris-P-Bacon Thanks for the advice, I will try giving it some liquid seaweed as you have suggested and see if it helps. Unfortunately I don't have room to repot them, so might just have to try mulching around them with compost. Thanks for your help, and let's hope the leaves don't go brown and prove your alternate theory of mosaic virus!
