Is this honey fungus?

Just found some fungal fruiting bodies at the base of a dead shrub. Is this honey fungus? I know there are lots of similar coloured fungi, but its appearance shortly after the death of the plant has me worried. Don't want it spreading to other shrubs or trees in the garden if so. However, June seems an odd time of year to see honey fungus, as I thought it tended to fruit in Autumn. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think it is Honey Fungus, possibly Sheathed Woodtuft - Kuehneromyces mutabilis. It lives on dead wood so hasn't killed the plant.

Thanks @steephill, good to know that you don't think it's honey fungus. Thank you, too, for the suggestion of a possible alternative species, I will look it up. Good to know that it wasn't what killed the plant. Cheers.
