shrubs

We have just moved to a park home, our plot is a large one that is surrounded by a dry stone wall, behind the wall are many bushes and plants. I am leaving them all as they are for now to see what is growing but I have noticed what looks like a wisteria growing through a shrub, what should I do with it? They are all well established plants and everything seems to be growing well together, I would like to leave it as I love wisteria.

    Can you trace the stem of the wisteria to its base and find out where it comes from?  It needs something to grow up, something more substantial than the rose it's climbing through at the moment.  I can see what looks like a rowan in the background, and at least 2 other shrubs behind the rose - tricky to ID without closer photos of leaves etc.  The big one might be lilac if it's deciduous.  Anyway, I think you'll really need to decide which of the shrubs you want to keep, and provide something like a pergola for the wisteria if there isn't a big tree in the vicinity which you can persuade it to climb...

    Hmm.You’ve got your work cut out there.Can you find the root of the wisteria?

    Thank you, I haven't looked for the root to be honest but I will unfortunately there aren't any substantial trees close by, the rowan is across the other side of a path. Don't think a pergola would be allowed. It is a park home so need permission for thing like that!! the shrub next to the rose/wisteria is quite a large one. We have a very knowledgeable gardener coming to clear out the weeds so I'm hoping I can pick his brains when he comes.
