Courgette or squash

Its my first time growing vegetables. I really hope my courgettes or squashs are ok. If not how can I solve the problem? Thanks in advance

    The top photo looks like a pumpkin or squash. Leaves turn yellow usually because of lack of nutrients or fertiliser. Give it some fertiliser and a good soak. It can also be because it's cold.

    The bottom one is a courgette. It may have powdery mildew or it may have naturally mottled leaves. Make sure it has enough water too. Courgettes are thirsty plants.
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    They are going to need more room than they have there. Depending on variety some grow bushy, others grow in a more spreading way, but all make sizeable plants. They need space, rich soil, as they are greedy feeders, sufficient water and sun. If you can provide all those things they are easy :)

    If you planted yellow courgettes then that is what the top one is, they often have yellow on the leaves, though I have never seen one quite that yellow.
    The bottom one looks perfect to me

    I would say that the top one is lacking in nutriants, also needs more space and sun, looks like it is a squash, the bottom one looks like the courgette but I think I see a green courgette growing?

    I think I can see a round, bumpy looking, green baby squash growing in the first photo, which is why I said pumpkin. If it is, then it isn't a yellow courgette.
    Edit - but it may be the stem.

    all courgettes are squash.

    Yes @war garden 572 both from the Cucurbit family, the OP is asking for advice in growing them.
