Angled bank help please

I live on a hill where I have "angled banks" between my neighbours. The soil is not the best, I think its clay (redish). I have planted some perennials in it which so far are doing ok. However most of the bank just have a mixture of grass & weeds etc growing in it. I would like to make it look much nicer, any suggestions please as to how & what to do. Thanks

The bank gets steeper as you look to the right. I have some Lilies & daisies planted currently

Hi @spiros206 -I would doubt if those plants will thrive the way you've planted them - sorry. The grass is competition, so they would need a proper space, and you'll be mowing around them until they die right back in autumn, which could be very fiddly. The daisies might be ok - but it'll depend on what kind of daisies they are.
You'd need to create a proper, defined planting area - dig the turf out, and add a lot of organic matter - manure, compost, leaf mould etc, and anything you plant will need good watering until established, and ongoing care with regular mulching if the area is very dry. It certainly looks like it.
That very small, steep slope might benefit from hedging of some kind to hide it, but again- the prep is key to success, as well as choosing suitable plants.  :)

Are you in the UK - or somewhere else? It doesn't look like a UK sort of site  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hi, thanks for your advice, I do however hope you are wrong about the plants dying. I bought them at a garden center locally & they are supposed to be quite hardy. Its thundering etc right now as well as rain but I typically do keep them well watered. I used miracle grow potting soil when I planted them all. Its pretty hot here now & will typically be for some time.

I do not have to put any more plants in that bank if I decide not to. How can I at least make it look nicer though? Should I get some topsoil to cover the earth & then some grass seed?

All of my plants that I have purchased are Perennials & I would like to keep it that way. I have a few roses in the front as well as a butterfly bush that all seem to have survived. Percy Thrower eat your heart out!!!!

Yes, this was obvious to me from the pick-up truck and the "timber" style house (and the aircon unit, you lucky people!) plus the mailbox situation. I always wondered how your mailboxes were a secure method of having mail delivered without thieving scumbags stealing your mail to commit identity fraud!
@PeggyTX @jamesholt and our other US cousins might be able to help you achieve what you want.
