We have this one photo a friend has sent for an ID … eupatorium and Monarda both spring to mind

What do you think? …

If it's Monarda the leaves will be fragrant. I think it's more like eupatorium though, but I can't be certain.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I don't thin k it's Monarda but I'm only familiar with the wild Eupatorium

Thanks folks … I think that confirms Eupatorium which was my first thought … but as I don’t have it in this garden I took a book of the shelf and then saw Monarda which made me doubt myself.

    Cheers 😊
