Allium sphaerocephalon

Morning,

I have been given some Allium sphaerocephalon in pots and ideally I’d like to plant them in a bed which receives direct sun between 12 and 4ish. In that bed I have geranium Patricia, some Phlox pan. and Salvia crystal blue - all are doing well.

Would the alliums be ok there or isn’t it enough sun?

 Thanks.

I have some in a north facing border and they have steadily multiplied over the years. They probably get a bit less sun than your bed, maybe just a bit in the evening. In fact they are far happier than those I planted in a much sunnier (and drier) bed

  • Thanks, I’ll give them a try in that bed then. I have some in a full sun bed and they are doing great so I wasn’t sure if they be ok in a more shadier part of the garden.
