Can anyone identify this plant? It’s growing in an area by my compost bin where there are a few wild flowers growing. It’s grown to about 3ft and looks very healthy. I can’t see any flower buds. Many thanks

It looks like it has grown from a rose root stock. Was there a rose in the bed before?

My first thought was something in the Pea family

Could be a native rose if you’re lucky .Not sure if it is a wild rose it should boom in the sunshine if we ever get any .

Not grown a rose in that bed before.  I’ll keep checking it and see what happens.

I have seen rose seedlings in borders where there are no roses.

Maybe not a rose then …..no thorns …..it’s a mystery.

Yes, I agree, that was my thought as well, I almost know what it is but it won't quite come

Stems are too soft for Rose I think,   Something from the pea family, present from the birds.
maybe let it flower then someone will know for sure.
