Strawberries

I'm new to gardening, I have strawberry plants that has been fine for last 3 years, but this year I have the normal white flowers that are developing strawberries but also yellow flowers, that are just dying, I have read a few things about yellow flowers but I'm unsure why they have suddenly appeared and what I can do with them with killing my strawberry plant

I'm not aware of any strawberry which produces yellow flowers but someone else may know.
With most strawbs, the 3rd year of flowering/fruiting is usually the last year for decent production of fruit.
It is always better to use the runners from 2nd year plants to grow on and replace your stock.
  • Thank you for your response, think I might leave this year fruit for the local wildlife that shares my garden and start again next year.

Sounds like a better bet in this instance.  When you start again next year, try to keep to the 3 year cycle - easier and should save you a bit of cash too :)
