My apple cactus is turning black please help

Hello! I’m really new to plants and gardening. I posted this few hours back and got no response but I really want to save this plant. I got this beautiful cactus as a gift last year and two days ago I watered my cacti and today I saw that the bottom of the cactus has turned dark and the body started to show weird spotting. Its just happening to one now but I have three others in the pot. What is happening and is there a way to save this? Can I just keep the three healthy one and cut down the sick looking one? Or do i have to replace the soil???

Is the area sunken and soft- in which case it may be a problem but it Looks like physical damage to me. I wouldn't panic if the material still feels firm. Monitor the plant. Make sure you get the watering correct, allow it to dry out then water thoroughly. Keep in a sunny spot.

There is a facebook group for the British cactus and succulent society who can probably help. Lots of experts on there.
