A Bucket O' Flints

Wasn't quite sure where to put this topic. It isn't a problem or a garden design or tools so Potting Shed it is to discuss ideas.

I couldn't resist this bucket o' flints for a tenner yesterday when I tootled down to Carlisle to pay a visit to a wonderous scrap yard that I discovered years ago. 

I've asked for ideas in the past for different projects and I've always adopted one of them, so, ideas for these, please. My first one was to incorporate them into a rockery but I'm not sure that would do them justice.

    They look quite nice on the gravel. Maybe a variation on a Zen garden?
    Maybe add something like sea lavender or some succulents or a blue grass to echo the colours.

    I like that idea Buttercupdays. That would be making a feature of them rather than blending in with a rockery. Zen, an interesting idea.

    I've just spread them out and put a coffee mug at the side of them to give some indication of how many there are, see below. 
    A tower eh pansyface, well that's a 'Royal' idea.

    Looks like you could construct a decent dinosaur skeleton with them! They do look good just piled on the gravel though.

    I find the odd bits of flint in the garden. I didn't realise you could sell them!

    That's two suggestions that they look good on the gravel, it's granite chips so different colours and similar to the flints. 
    I've never seen them for sale before either B3 but it's the sort of scrap yard that sells anything. I also bought these two old, rusty scales or to be exact I bought one and he gave me the other one. I'm planning on putting plants pots on the plates.
