Patchy grass

Hey everyone,

it’s my first post here so please be gentle. I seem to be having a problem with my lawn. Basically I have some really thick clumpy bits growing which is quite nice and green, then the rest of it is quite thin and short.

It doesn’t look too desirable at the moment… So I am hoping to get it a little bit more uniform in terms of growing.

Does anyone have any tips for how to make the grass grow uniformly thick?

It'll be due to the different grass types. If the clumps really bother you, just mow regularly. I quite like mine, lol, I'm never going to have a beautiful lush green lawn now, not after so long! 😄

Most lawns look like that at some point ,just keep it mowed. Mine gets like it because in the winter we put out seeds for the birds in a bird house and some of the seeds fall off and germinate. I think your lawn looks lovely and green .IMHO it’s just fine

Good to know it mostly needs a mow. I'm quite the perfectionist and that gets me most of the time!

    I'll keep on mowing.

    Happy gardening :)
