Phlox problem?

Morning,

One of my Phlox has some leaves which are really curled up. I’ve not seen this before and I can’t see anything in the curls that may be causing it. Is it normal or is something negative causing it?

 Thanks.

You may not have seen them, but this leaf curling is usually down to aphids.

Yes I think this is aphid too. Thie year it has been bad,it is also common on Phlox. Hopefully as the plant grows it will be less apparent. Eel worm is something you need to be aware of if you grow Phlox. As said this looks like aphids.

Eel worm causes vertical splits in the stems.

  • Thanks all, I can tolerate aphids. I’ll bear the eel worm in mind and check the stems.
