Laburnum Tree

My 15 year old Laburnum tree which has never given me any problems has decided to go dormant this year. It is now June and there are only small buds and no leaves or flowers on the branches. Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi, Can you take a picture as it would be helpful to diagnose what's going on.

From the discription it sounds like it's on its way out. This is very similar to what has happened to our neighbours laburnum but that has been individual branches on a sixty year old tree (they aren't long lived by tree standards and sixty is a decent age) slowly spreading over a few years.

Yes - a photo will help @mackay124. It may have struggled with the dry winter/spring. They would normally be in flower just now.

They aren't as popular nowadays, which is a pity. They were very fashionable when I was a child. We had one in the front garden.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I’ve added a pic above, we live in Inverness, north of Scotland if that helps with diagnosis.

    I think that’s ‘popped it’s clogs’, I’m sorry to say. 😢
