Celosia dying?

I bought these celosia from Morrisons the other week and planted them out- they were doing well but in the last day they’ve started to wilt with their flowers looking less healthy and leaves with odd patches on them! Any ideas what to do please?

We’ve always treated those as house plants,  my mum used to grow them from seed. don’t know where you live but we’ve had very cold nights and I expect that plant has never been outside of a greenhouse.
I think some people put them outside through the summer so it may pick up if it warms up a bit.

I used to grow them outside many years ago as a lad.
Once the plumes start to fade you can cut them off.
If you don't, they form seed then the plant dies - it's just what they do.
However, if you do cut the big plumes off you'll just get a few much smaller spikes appearing that are nothing like as impressive as the initial pulmes.
They're best considered short-lived pot plants
They are easy to grow from seed
