Can someone please ID these two herbs taken today in the local park's herb garden, there were no ID labels about unfortunately. And would they be drought tolerant and live in a pot. Many thanks.
I have it in my garden. I have oregano popping up all over the place and one year a yellow one appeared. It is drought tolerant and gets no care other than a hard trim back in the spring. It spreads quite happily too. I'm sure it would be happy in a pot too - John Innes compost and at least 25% grit
I used to have rue too - but after doing some pruning one sunny day a few hours later I was struggling to breathe - the milky sap getting on my skin was the cause, so beware

Oregano definitely, here's mine from the supermarket bought pot a few years back, pollinators love the mid/late summer flowers. I don't know how the raspberry feels about it weaving through it though 😄

I can see that Rue flowers, but does Oregano flower. Rue can be a bit scary by the sound of it.
The pink flowers on the green oregano look better, but the bees love them
