This beauty is in the rather glorious cottage garden where I am currently staying.

I’d love to know what it is!
Lady of Shalott?

It seems to be a very healthy semi climber/trained bush rose.
Apologies, but my iPad is refusing to show them the correct way up.

Many thanks šŸ™šŸ»

It looks rather like my Westerland. Fewer petals than Lady of Shalott. Westerland can be grown as a small climber or a shrub rose. Mine is trying to be a small climber! It has reddish leaves like that when young. Peter Beales sell them.

    Ah thanks!
I shall have a look.It looks so vigorous and healthy, plus the colour when backlit by img sun, is stunning.

I would say not Lady of Shalott, the foliage is wrong, too shiny. Westerland is a good shout @Busy-Lizzie.

Off to hunt one down, there must be a corner of my garden I can squeeze it into!
Does it prefer being up against a warm south facing fence, or elsewhere? Here in the photo it is south facing.
