Help with identifying plants

Hi, I have 3 plants in my garden, not sure what they are, any help would be appreciated. None are in flower yet, not sure if they do flower. Left by previous owner of the garden. First two photos are of the same plant. Others in the comments

1st pictures look like knautia Macedonia, thec2nd ones are a penstemon in need of cutting back

Is it too late to cut it back now? Or is this best left till next year now? Thank you

Usually they are cut back to a few inches above ground level at the end of April depending on whereabouts you are in the country, but Penstemons can be given the "Chelsea chop". Have a look here
