Can you please help identify this plant?

    Lamium, probably the pink-flowered one Lamium maculatum.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Possibly a type of Lamium aka dead nettle but l'm not 100% sure.

    It's spotted deadnettle, Lamium maculatum.  Good ground cover under trees, if you like it - it has pink flowers.
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Or it could be the purple flowered Lamium that I have, bit of a thug. I prefer the other one I have with pink flowers and silver leaves.

    Here's a pic. of L. maculatum in flower. I call it pink, but it could be described as the pinker side of purple....
    The one with silver leaves and lighter pink flowers is Beacon Silver I think (long since lost the label).

    Brilliant thanks! Having cleared some plants it's only just shown up. I will see how it goes. I thought it looked like a nettle, but had never seen one with a white stripe
