Cercis Canadensis rising sun

Hi. Wondered if anybody could help. I have a cercis canadensis rising sun and the new leaf growth is looking very uninspiring. Extremely weak looking almost transparent. Any advice would be appreciated

Can't say i know that variety, but looking at pictures the leaves do seem a bit wan, so probably normal.

Looks like you have it in a pot in which case it may be a nutrient deficiency depending on what kind of compost you used when planting it and whether or not you've fed it since.

  • Thanks for the comments. It is in a pot. I used John Innes mature plant compost and have only fed it with liquid seaweed. Do you think it would survive being moved now into the garden? Could you think of an alternative feed? Thankyou
